2013 JUDGES

STEVE HAUMSCHILD, SERIAL ENTREPRENEUR
Steve Haumschild is a talented serial entrepreneur with vast experiences in various industries from Renewable Energy, Tourism ,Watersports, Manufacturing, Marketing, and Performance throughout small and large businesses. He has a proven track record in nearly every stage of a successful business, from start-ups to running multi-million dollar businesses to seats on the Board of Directors as well as through investments in others’ businesses from concept to exit. He is an expert in risk management and mitigation, operations and logistics and negotiations.

EVAN LEONG, CO-FOUNDER AND CEO, GREATER GOOD INC.
Evan Leong is a Hawaii born and raised entrepreneur with businesses ranging from bubble tea beverages to media. His specialty is lifestyle businesses and social entrepreneurship. Evan Leong is the co-founder and CEO of two distinguished companies in Hawaii: Greater Good Inc and Bubble Tea Supply. He is also a Venture Partner at Enerdigm Capital which is a venture capital firm specializing in early stage companies in clean energy and software. 

MALIE MORAN, FOUNDER, HAWAII RED
Hawaii RED was created as the brainchild of Malie Moran and started in 2008 with the inception of hawaiiredmagazine.com as a lifestyle e-publication. Working with a talented production team, the website featured stories of notable and creative individuals in Hawaii. In 2009, hawaiiredmagazine.com refocused its content to highlight Hawaii’s Street Style and expanded into coordinating Fashion Events. Malie’s love of urban meets island is reflected in the brand – defining balance between the urban scene in Hawaii’s paradise and the island influences found in big cities. A Honolulu native, she travels regularly to her favorite cities. New York, Paris and Sydney are her top choices for style, food, art and culture. Malie’s passion lies in fostering Hawaii’s creative community and promoting Hawaii fashion locally and internationally. She works with designers, fashion students, shopping malls, resorts and other industry professionals to build bridges within the state and abroad.

KURT OSAKI, PRESIDENT, OSAKI CREATIVE GROUP
A graduate of the University of Hawaii and the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California. Kurt founded Osaki Design in 1995 which was later changed to Osaki Creative Group in 2005. Early clients included the National Football League properties, National Hockey League and leading national universities. Kurt's philosophy is based on the Japanese word Kaisen, "The endless pursuit of excellence" and to do things "100%."
