Family Business Center of Hawaii

Established in 1995, the Family Business Center of Hawaii is a partnership between the local family business community and the University of Hawaii Shidler College of Business. It provides educational programs, forums and networking opportunities that support family business owners through the unique and specific challenges they face, so that they can survive and thrive through future generations.

Interdisciplinary Research Teams

This program encourages interdisciplinary research collaborations, in which UH students from across the campus work together and apply their specific knowledge to produce research and feasibility reports for clients. 

in•sPACE Events

in•sPACE events are a key part of PACE's collabortive workspace. Connect with other like-minded people, get inspired, and develop entrepreneurial skills through social and educational events.

The Shidler Hatchery provides office space and services for student entrepreneurs who are developing their businesses.

Startup Weekend UH

PACE partners with the global non-profit organization Startup Weekend to bring the intense three-day event to campus to connect entrepreneurs, students, researchers, developers, designers and startup enthusiasts with mentors and resources. Attendees pitch ideas, build teams, strategize, collect customer validation and build a solid foundation for a successful business.

Summer Start-up Launchpad is a 6-week intensive program that provides education and dedicated mentorship to help you evaluate an idea and launch a business. At the completion of the program, each team will receive $3,000 cash.
