Ashten Akemoto

Ashten Akemoto is a sophomore majoring in computer engineering. With backgrounds in software engineering and autonomous robotics, he hopes to pursue a career in space exploration and wants to one day start his own space robotics company.

Ashten has experiences in both research and industry as a software engineer intern at Astrobotic, a Pittsburgh-based space company. He also has experience with doing research with NASA’s Space Grant program, the Hawaii Space Flight Laboratory, and working as a lead for the autonomous navigation software for the Robotic Space Exploration Lab’s undergraduate rover team.
