LINDA KAWAMURA

Linda Kawamura recently retired from Oceanit, a science and technology innovation firm, where she was the Human Resources Manager for the last 15 years.  Her career spans over 40 years in Human Resources Management at Bank of Hawaii, C.S. Wo and Sons, Ltd. and Hawaii Pacific University.  She has an MBA and a BBA from the University of Hawaii at Manoa and is certified as a Sr. Human Resources Management Professional.  Linda is involved with the Chamber of Commerce’s Engineering and IT Sector Partnerships and is a member of the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM).

She enjoys mentoring and career counseling, and sharing her human resources experiences and expertise (in strategic planning, recruiting, compensation, benefits administration, training and development, employee relations, health and safety, EEO/Affirmative Action/human resources compliance and EEO/Affirmative Action) to help businesses and organizations achieve their missions and goals.

In her retirement, Linda hopes to volunteer with non-profit organizations, travel, restart arts and craft projects and attend more Zumba and dance classes!
