DAREN KIMURA
Daren S. Kimura, Vice-President of Mortgage Banking for Hawaiian Financial FCU, has spent more than 20 years in financial institution management. While focused primarily on residential lending, he also provides consulting for credit and asset management, project management, and risk and portfolio analysis to individuals and multiple non-profit organizations.
As a 1997 graduate of UH Manoa (BBA), Daren continued to pursue advanced degrees in Organizational Leadership with a focus in multigenerational workforce and systems thinking and continues to apply those skills in his work with business startups, young entrepreneurs and business professionals looking to do individual development.
In addition to supporting UH Football while serving on the Board of Na Koa and working closely with the Diamond Head Classic and Hawaii Bowl Foundations, Daren loves watching UH Men’s and Women’s Basketball and Volleyball and tries to play tennis and basketball when his knees will cooperate. An avid musician, he has played violin all over Hawaii, and has had the good fortune to perform in some prestigious concert halls internationally. Locally, he makes regular appearances in Musical Theater productions and serves as the Musical Director at Castle Performing Arts Center. Daren also hosts his own radio show on ESPN Honolulu.
