Zach and Courtney are high school sweethearts turned business partners. Zach, a native-Hawaiian Army veteran, and Courtney, a former CPA, joined forces to start an ice cream business during the pandemic of 2020. Their venture wasn’t just a business endeavor; it was a tribute to Zach’s late brother, an aspiring entrepreneur who never got the chance to realize his dreams.
Both Zach and Courtney are proud products of Hawaii’s public schools (Mililani High School c/o 2008) and alumni of the University of Hawaii at Manoa. Their commitment to their community runs deep, and reflected in their choice to source ingredients from local artisans. They emphasize community support and employee happiness and creativity as a core part of the company’s “local-made culture.” With each scoop, they aim to capture the essence of Hawaii and share it with their customers.
Their journey isn’t just about making ice cream; it’s about resilience, love, and the pursuit of dreams. Through their business, they honor the memory of Zach’s late brother while creating something meaningful and delicious for their community to enjoy.
