ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Genshu Price is the founder of Bottles4College, a Hawaiʻi-based nonprofit that turns recyclable bottles and cans into college scholarships for local students. He launched the initiative at just 10 years old and later formalized it as a nonprofit, building partnerships with schools, businesses, and community organizations across Oʻahu. Through the program, more than 1.7 million cans and bottles have been recycled, diverting over 140,000 pounds of waste from landfills while generating tens of thousands of dollars in scholarships for Hawaiʻi students.
Recognized nationally for his environmental leadership, Price is a recipient of the Gloria Barron Prize for Young Heroes and other sustainability and youth advocacy awards. His work focuses on creating scalable community solutions that connect environmental stewardship, education, and entrepreneurship.
