RAND YAMASAKI
Rand Yamasaki graduated from UH-Manoa with a BBA degree (accounting emphasis) in 1980. He obtained his CPA license in 1987. Rand worked for Arthur Young and Company as an auditor for two years at the start of his career. He then worked for 34 years in the Hawaii and national credit union industry, working for the largest (in assets) natural-person and corporate credit unions. His job positions included President/CEO, Chief Financial Officer, Controller, and Senior Vice-President of Operations. He has facilitated over 50 strategic planning and asset-liability risk management training sessions over his career, and has taught basic and advanced credit union accounting courses for 13 years. Rand currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Boys and Girls Club (Spalding Clubhouse in Honolulu) and the Kalakaua Lions Club.
Rand’s expertise includes asset-liability management, strategic planning, enterprise risk management, and operational rules and regulations for credit unions. His interests include traveling, golf, music, and helping the younger and older generations achieve their dreams.
