2017 BREAKTHROUGH INNOVATION CHALLENGE
The UH Breakthrough Innovation Challenge is purely about celebrating innovative ideas at UH with commercial potential. This year, we asked contestants for a F.E.W. good ideas in the areas of Food, Energy and Water.
OUR 2017 FINALISTS:
Biobattery – provides an affordable, biofriendly, non-explosive/non-toxic solution for energy storage
Health Check of Bovine Embryo – a noninvasive test for embryo health check during In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) of bovine cattle
Osmopot – a water conservation and solar purification potted plant technology
Hyetopura – a deconstructed lifestraw that allows the user to disassemble and reassemble the device themselves
Vert – a system that enables the growth of plants on an inclined vertical surface
