The AI Innovation program provides a welcoming, low-risk space for University of Hawai‘i students of all disciplines to experiment with emerging tech, engage in “blue-sky” conversations, test ideas, and turn curiosity into practical, real-world application.

Tools & Workshops
- Free Premium Access: Get access to premium-tier AI tools like Claude Pro, Replit and Consensus, and free API tokens for building custom projects
- Career Development: Attend practical workshops on using AI tools to build portfolio sites, refine job applications, and prepare for evolving roles.
Speaker Series & Discussion
- AI Futures Speaker Series: Hear directly from faculty, alumni, founders, and industry leaders on the practical realities of AI adoption.
- Cross-Disciplinary Industry Panels: Explore how AI is fundamentally transforming specialized sectors including medtech, fintech, etc.
Community & Support
- AI Builders Club (AIBC): Drop into our weekly sessions to meet peers, experiment, collaborate, and bring project ideas to life. The AIBC is open to UH Students of all skill levels.
- Small Business Consulting: Gain real-world consulting experience by helping Oʻahu small businesses identify AI opportunities and solutions.
Program Objectives
We focus on preparing students for successful careers through two primary objectives:
- Applied AI Mastery: Empower students to master a diverse suite of AI tools and platforms, enabling them to rapidly develop functional digital prototypes and integrate AI-driven solutions into academic, creative, and business contexts.
- A Culture of Exploration: Foster a collaborative and ethically conscious learning environment that provides the resources, technical guidance, and hands-on space necessary for students to experiment confidently with emerging technologies.

WHO WE ARE
The AI Innovation Program is a student-led initiative under the PACE Leaders program. We are an interdisciplinary group of students dedicated to helping our peers prepare for workplace expectations by facilitating opportunities for all UH students to become proficient in a diverse suite of AI tools.
