WELCOME TO PACE AT RISE
A COLLABORATIVE WORKSPACE FOR THE UH COMMUNITY

An Overview of RISE
Conference Room Sign-In

All UH students are welcome to our innovation floor on the second floor of the Walter Dods, Jr. RISE Center to work on entrepreneurial projects, meet other like-minded students, share ideas, form partnerships, and receive technical startup advice. PACE at RISE is intended for collaborative, startup, or business-related activities.

All users are expected to follow the UH Code of Conduct and these PACE at RISE House Rules:

  • Behave professionally and respectfully toward all users.

  • Dispose of trash in provided receptacles.

  • Use whiteboards and meeting room space in a professional manner.

  • Report any damage to furniture or malfunctioning equipment to PACE Staff.

  • Do not remove furniture or equipment from the space.

  • Guard personal belongings, including laptops and digital devices. PACE is not responsible for loss of software, data, or personal items.

  • Abide by the hours set by building management.

RESERVE SPACE AT RISE

To reserve a space for a meeting or event, please email pace@hawaii.edu. Reservation requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis to confirm the event aligns with PACE’s mission and fits the space appropriately. While there is currently no rental fee, PACE requests five minutes at the beginning of your event to provide a short introduction to the Center.

Classroom furniture may be rearranged, provided no damage occurs and everything is returned to its original configuration afterward. Please note that PACE is unable to provide setup or breakdown services. Event organizers are responsible for their own setup, breakdown, and cleanup, including removal of trash. Event organizers must agree to collecting waiver forms (go.hawaii.edu/yfD) from non-UH visitors who attend the event.

Rooms available for reservation include:

  • Classroom (capacity of 48 with tables; 80 with chairs only)

  • Kupu Conference Room 201 (capacity of 6)

  • Mana‘o Conference Room 203 (capacity of 4)

  • Hana Recording Studio Room 208 (capacity of 4)—to use the recording studio, go to the Maker page.

Note: The large open flex area is not available for reservation.
