ABOUT THE SPEAKER

After obtaining both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Psychology and Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling, respectively, from the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa, then spending a few years as a counselor, Bryson Honjo decided to try something different. In 2016, Bryson decided to start reselling sneakers as a way to earn extra income for his family. Along the way, he began to film the process of reselling and posted it on his YouTube channel, Untied Hawaii.

While he originally did this as a way to document his journey, he suddenly found his channel rapidly growing. Now, with a current following of 300,000+ on social media, Bryson’s channel has pulled in over 30,000,000 views. This newfound success ignited his passion for content creation, he decided to leverage his knowledge of the creator space.

In 2020 he founded HiConnect Studios, an influencer marketing agency with a focus on YouTube content creators. Currently, HiConnect Studios services 150+ content creators with a cumulative following of over 100,000,000 on social media. While the majority of HiConnect’s revenue comes from overseas creators, Bryson made it a point to assist local Hawaii creators in their social media endeavors. HiConnect works with over 100+ Hawaii content creators by assisting them in obtaining sponsorships and brand partnerships with companies like Uniqlo Hawaii, Autosource, and many more.

Bryson’s vision of helping Hawaii’s growing content creators far exceeds simply pairing creators and brands. HiConnect’s end goal is to create the premier ‘Creator Hub’ of Hawaii. A place where aspiring content creators can come to learn the intricacies of how to not only build their social media following but how to build their creator brands as well.
